Legos are Always a Great Christmas Present

I have a warm memories of building and playing with Legos when I was a kid.  They just keep evolving and getting better.  You can make functional robots, furniture, and even Lego games.  The fun, to me, is coming up with a clever design and seeing how it turns out.

One of the newest Lego products is a Shave a Sheep

Look at their goofy eyes!

Here is more about it:

Who will get the most wool from their sheep? Shear wool whenever you can - the other players will try to steal it from you or send the scary wolf your way! Grow, swap and scare your way to victory in this fast, fun and unpredictable game. For 2 to 4 players.

  • Includes 1 buildable LEGO Dice
  • Rule booklet and building instructions included
  • 117 LEGO pieces
In North America it is known as Wild Wool.

One new set of Lego kits that are sure to be a hit this Christmas are those based upon Toy Story 3.

The brand new Western Train Chase, the Woody and Buzz Rescue, and the Dump Truck Rescue look very fun!

The Grand Emporium is the top Lego set, according to the Lego Top 25 List and is listed as "Hard to Find", but I found it on Amazon without a problem.

Here's what they say:

Welcome to the grand opening of the Grand Emporium!
The LEGO® Modular Buildings series continues with this spectacularly detailed 3-story department store, designed in a realistic scale with lots of special building techniques and rare pieces.

On the street outside, citizens carry shopping bags, send letters at the mailbox, admire the window mannequins, then cool off at the ice cream stand while a busy window washer works above.

Enter through the revolving doors to discover a ground-floor clothing department, complete with a cash register, fitting room, hats, jewelry, perfume, and even a selection of spare trousers. A brick-built escalator carries customers to the second floor housewares department with glassware and golden plates for special occasions, and then it’s up to the top floor for the toy department (complete with toy house and push-scooter) with an impressive chandelier above the open atrium. Up on the roof are a billboard and skylight!

  • Add this classic department store to your LEGO Modular Buildings collection
  • Grand Emporium features many authentic details
  • Set includes 7 minifigures
  • Measures 15" (38cm) high and 10" (25cm) wide

There are a ton of them to choose between.  In fact, you can even buy the pieces one at a time via the Lego website.  Simply go to the Pick a Brick section of the official website.

You really can't go wrong with a Lego set!
